What Are Class 2 Buildings?
- Class 2 buildings are apartment buildings, typically multi-unit residential structures where people live above and below each other.
- According to the NCC, the apartment spaces are referred to as sole-occupancy units (SOUs).
Examples of Class 2 Configurations
- Multi-storey apartment complexes.
- Single-storey attached dwellings with a common space below, such as:
- Two dwellings above a shared basement.
- Apartments over a carpark.
